I spent over a decade naïvely attempting to cover the history of Western philosophy in an effort to arrive at whatever constituted present day thought. Along the way I became something of a self-directed intellectual historian -- eventually venturing outside of the strictly philosophical tradition and into areas like the histories of science, art and architectural theory & statistical visualization. Here I try to list some of the heavy hitters who, more than my central three, offer more in the way of stepping stones and specifics.
Of course, most of what I read and write about is completely independent from my particular focus on Nietzsche, Wittgenstein and Derrida. These too benefit from sustained differentiation, and my use of them requires individual introductions of their own. (WIP More to come…)
